Story Circle Network — Women Writers & Writing Resources Welcome to Story Circle Network, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women writers through various writing resources and support systems. Our Circles Program, specifically the Sharing Our Stories Writing Circle, is one of our signature initiatives. Led by the talented facilitator Judith Helburn, this writing circle encourages women to come together and explore the art of storytelling. Whether you are a seasoned writer or just starting your writing journey, this program offers a nurturing environment for you to express yourself and develop your writing skills. Join us at the Howson Library in Austin, Texas to be a part of this inspiring writing community. At Story Circle Network, we value the importance of preserving and celebrating personal histories. We are committed to helping women of all ages share the stories of their lives through various writing genres, including memoir, poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and drama. Through workshops, writing circles, and events, we provide the resources and support needed to navigate the writing process and create compelling narratives. Our organization has a rich history spanning over two decades. Since 1997, we have passionately offered writing courses both onsite and online, focusing on memoir, reminiscence, journaling, family stories, and writing-as-healing. Our experienced instructors guide participants through engaging and transformative lessons, allowing them to explore their creativity and find their unique voice. As a writer, we encourage you to submit your personal lifewriting to Story Circle Network. Our Writers' Guidelines welcome short excerpts (up to 350 words) that capture the essence of your life experiences. Whether it's a heartfelt reflection, a humorous anecdote, or a thought-provoking observation, we want to hear your story. We believe that every woman's voice deserves to be heard, and by sharing your writing with us, you contribute to a vibrant and diverse community of women writers.
