Professional experience
5. Title: Natural Resources Department - City of Farmington Welcome to the Natural Resources Department of the City of Farmington. We are dedicated to the conservation and management of the city's natural resources, as well as implementing environmental education and outreach programs. Our department plays a vital role in ensuring the sustainable development and utilization of our natural resources for the benefit of both present and future generations. At the Natural Resources Department, we understand the significance of our responsibilities and strive to strike a balance between various land uses, including energy development, wildlife habitat preservation, and recreational activities. Our goal is to enhance the quality of life for our community while protecting the environment. One of our key focuses is on environmental education and outreach program development. We believe in the importance of educating the community about the value of our natural resources and providing opportunities for individuals to connect with and appreciate the environment. Through workshops, seminars, and community events, we aim to raise awareness and promote sustainable practices. The Farmington Field Office, managed by our dedicated team, oversees the management of some of New Mexico's most scenic public lands. These lands are managed to ensure multiple uses, including energy development and wildlife conservation. We work closely with various stakeholders to develop and implement comprehensive land management plans that take into account the diverse needs and interests of the community. Our commitment to the conservation of natural resources extends beyond city boundaries. The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources (DNR) has district offices strategically located to provide support and resources for effective natural resource management. District 1, located at 1110 Railroad Street PO Box 99 in Farmington, WV, and District 2, situated at 1 Depot Street in Romney, WV, are readily available to serve the needs of the local community. Should you have any questions or inquiries regarding recreation, wildlife, or any other aspect related to natural resources, please feel free to contact us. You can reach us via email at *information hidden* or call *information hidden*-PARK) for general recreation questions. For wildlife-related inquiries, please contact our Wildlife Division.
