As a non-profit arts organization located in Somerville, MA, Washington St. prides itself on fostering a vibrant and inclusive arts community. Our dedication to the arts is evident through our various artistic endeavors. From providing a darkroom for processing and printing black and white film to offering a gallery space for group exhibitions, we strive to offer a platform where artists can express themselves freely and share their creative visions with the world. In line with our commitment to accessibility, we are excited to announce that the Somerville Public Library now offers computer and internet access to the community. Additionally, the library provides printing services with a generous allocation of $3.00 worth of free printing per day. Whether you need to print 20 black and white pages or 10 color pages, the library is here to assist you in your printing needs. We understand the importance of creating a conducive environment for artists to express themselves. Somerville Open Studios is a prime example of our dedication to nurturing a supportive artistic community. This initiative ensures that artists can work in peace, free from disruptive noises such as banging, machinery, or loud noises. As we prioritize the well-being of our artists, we also strive to create spaces that are allergen-free, minimizing any indoor allergens that may hinder the creative process.
