At this center, CHI offers a wide range of services including primary care, behavioral healthcare, transportation assistance, and scheduling flexibility to cater to the diverse needs of our patients. CHI takes pride in being the first Federally Qualified Health Center in Florida to receive the prestigious Florida Governor's Sterling Award. This recognition reinforces our commitment to excellence and dedication to providing the highest standard of care to our patients for over the past decades. In addition to our primary focus on healthcare delivery, CHI also serves as a teaching health center, contributing to the international effort in training primary care clinicians. As the first community teaching health center in Florida, we are actively involved in shaping and nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals. At CHI, we constantly strive to make a positive impact on our community. This includes our efforts in combatting the COVID-19 pandemic. We are proud to offer free walk-up COVID-19 testing, providing accessible testing opportunities for individuals in need. For example, in May 2020, we organized a successful walk-up testing event at the Fredrick Douglas Community Center Gym. Our mission goes beyond just providing healthcare services; we are dedicated to promoting wellness, prevention, and education within the community.
