Guiding and counseling youth on appropriate skills and behaviors are integral aspects of the Family Teaching Couple's responsibilities. They provide structure, set boundaries, and teach important life skills such as problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution. By instilling these skills, the Family Teaching Couples help prepare the youth for a successful future. What sets Boys Town apart is the emphasis on providing youth with new experiences. The Family Teaching Couples play a significant role in exposing these young individuals to different opportunities that broaden their horizons and expand their perspective on life. Whether it is participating in extracurricular activities, exploring career possibilities, or engaging in community service projects, the Family Teaching Couples are actively involved in enriching the lives of the youth they care for. With over 30 years of experience at Boys Town, our Family Teaching Couple has gained invaluable insights into the challenges and rewards of working with at-risk youth. From starting as an Assistant Family-Teacher to becoming a Consultant, they have witnessed firsthand the transformative power of Boys Town's residential care programs.
