With over 40 years of experience, we provide exceptional singing opportunities for children from kindergarten through senior year of high school in Lane County. Our talented and dedicated team of directors plays a crucial role in shaping the choir's success. Chris Dobson, the director of The Oregon Young Low-Voice Ensemble, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table. Holding a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the prestigious University of Oregon, Dobson's passion for music resonates deeply with our young learners. Siera Kaup, a co-director of the Oregon Junior Girlhoir, further enhances the musical journey of our choir members. As a certified music teacher and elementary music specialist in Eugene's 4J school district, Kaup brings a unique perspective and wealth of experience to our choir rehearsals. In addition to our talented directors, we are proud to have Katie Coleman as our Choir Teacher at North Eugene High School. Coleman is not only a choral director but also a professional pianist and a K12 licensed music educator. Her extensive work experience and educational background contribute to creating a nurturing and enriching environment for our choir members. Furthermore, we pay homage to Dr. Randall Moore, the founder of the Oregon Children's Choir. Dr. Moore, with his specialization in teaching music at the elementary school level, had a vision of bringing together young voices in harmony. His commitment to community-building and musical education led to the establishment of our beloved choir. Even today, his legacy continues to inspire and guide us in providing exceptional singing opportunities for children in Eugene and beyond.
