We are proud to inform you that many Charter School students are entitled to use charter funds to pay for any of our sailing classes. This allows students to gain valuable nautical education while utilizing the resources available to them. As part of the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Newport Sea Base is connected to a vast network of expertise and resources. NAVSEA is the largest of the U.S. Navy's five system commands, comprising a force of over 84,000 civilians. This affiliation ensures that our programs are backed by a commitment to excellence and a dedication to maritime education. If you are interested in joining the Newport Sea Base team, we have employment opportunities available. As an employee, you would be responsible for customer service, class/activity assistance, and classroom management. CPR and First Aid certification are required upon hiring, ensuring the safety and well-being of our participants. For visitors wanting to experience the wonders of NUWC Division Newport, we kindly request that a visit request is submitted in advance. This request is mandatory for all visitors, both government and civilian, regardless of the duration or classification of the visit. This procedure helps us maintain a secure and efficient environment while offering visitors the chance to explore the cutting-edge facilities and advancements within our organization.
