Texas Association of Community Development Corporations The Texas Association of Community Development Corporations (TACDC) is a dynamic organization dedicated to empowering communities in Texas. With a broad range of programs and services, TACDC supports its members in carrying out their important work effectively. Through our comprehensive services, we provide guidance, resources, and tools to community development corporations across Texas. Our goal is to help these organizations thrive and make a positive impact on the communities they serve. From technical assistance and capacity-building training to networking opportunities and funding opportunities, we are dedicated to empowering our members with the knowledge and resources they need to succeed. Research and advocacy are at the core of our work. By staying up to date with the latest trends and data, we provide valuable insights to our members, enabling them to make informed decisions and implement best practices in their projects. We also advocate for policies that support community development and create opportunities for economic growth and social equity. One of our notable programs is the Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) program. This federal program is designed to help workers who have been adversely affected by international trade. By providing services and benefits such as job training, income support, and healthcare assistance, we support these workers in finding new employment and navigating through challenging transitions. In addition to our focus on community development and workforce support, TACDC also houses the Financial Services Department. Our experienced staff is well-versed in financial processes, including budget preparation, financial reporting, procurement processes, franchise agreements, and real estate transactions. We work closely with our members to ensure their financial operations are efficient, transparent, and compliant with regulations. Another vital department within TACDC is the Development Services Department. We assist homeowners, business owners, and contractors in navigating the complex landscape of city and building codes. From obtaining permits to ensuring compliance during construction or remodeling projects, our team provides guidance and support every step of the way. As an Austin-based non-profit professional association, we are proud members of the Texas Economic Development Council (TEDC). This statewide organization shares our commitment to economic development and collaboratively works towards enhancing business opportunities and promoting economic growth in Texas.
