The English program at UPIKE is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the English language and literature. Graduates of the program are well-equipped for a variety of career paths, including teaching, writing, editing, and research. The faculty members in the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) at UPIKE are highly accomplished professionals dedicated to providing an enriching educational experience. Theresa Dawahare, M.Ed., Johnny Fleming, M.A., J. Michael King, Ph.D., Coletta Parsley, Ed.D., and David Slone, M.A., are just some of the esteemed faculty members who bring their expertise and passion to the classroom. In addition to the CAS faculty, UPIKE also offers adjunct faculty positions, providing a diverse range of perspectives and expertise. Currently, there are 9 adjunct faculty positions available, including the role of UPIKE Band Assistant in the Humanities Division of the College of Arts and Sciences. At UPIKE, the Patton College of Education collaborates closely with surrounding schools and districts to ensure the delivery of high-quality educator training programs. These programs are designed to prepare successful teachers who will make a positive impact in the field of education.
