Hello everyone, We are excited to announce that Grassroots Gardens of Buffalo is currently seeking a Program Manager to join our dedicated team! This is an incredible opportunity for an individual with a passion for community gardening, youth education, and food security. Now, let us introduce you to our potential Program Manager, Loc Tran. Loc brings a wealth of experience to the table as a community garden coordinator, youth educator, food security coordinator, farmer, and even an okay cook. With Loc's diverse background, their dedication to helping others connect to nature through gardening shines through. At Grassroots Gardens of Buffalo, we collaboratively cultivate and manage over 300,000 square feet (and growing!) of green space in Buffalo and Niagara Falls. Our mission is rooted in the belief that urban green spaces have the power to transform communities. With over 100 community gardens in our network, we strive to create vibrant and accessible spaces where individuals from all walks of life can come together to grow healthy food, foster connections, and cultivate a sense of community. As the Program Manager, Loc will play a crucial role in overseeing and implementing our Community & School Garden program. They will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations, coordinating with our network of community gardeners and volunteers, and developing and delivering educational programs for youth in the Buffalo-Niagara Falls area. With their expertise in food security, Loc will also contribute to our ongoing efforts to address food insecurity and promote sustainable agriculture practices.
