Upstate Caring Partners - Developmental Disability Services Upstate Cerebral Palsy, now known as Upstate Caring Partners, is a leading organization providing comprehensive services for individuals with developmental disabilities. With a rich history dating back to May 23, 1950, Upstate Caring Partners has been dedicated to empowering individuals and helping them unlock their full potential. Our mission is to create a community that embraces and supports people with developmental disabilities, providing them with the resources they need to thrive. Through a wide range of programs and services, we strive to enhance their quality of life, promote independence, and foster inclusion. One of the highlights of our organization is our mentor program. This program pairs individuals with developmental disabilities with mentors who provide guidance, support, and encouragement. We firmly believe that having a mentor can make a significant positive impact on the lives of these individuals, helping them navigate through challenges and achieve their goals. To support our programs and initiatives, we organize various fundraising events throughout the year. One such event is our annual bowling fundraiser, where participants come together to have fun and support our mentor program. This event not only raises funds but also raises awareness about the importance of mentorship and the impact it can have on the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. We are also proud to share that our UCP Tradewinds Education Center holds an annual prom event. This special occasion allows our school-age students from Utica, Rome, and Chadwicks to celebrate in style. It is a joyous and inclusive gathering where our students can create wonderful memories and have a truly memorable prom experience. At Upstate Caring Partners, we understand the significance of community support. That is why we are grateful for the donations and pledges we receive from individuals and organizations. We appreciate the generosity of the University at Buffalo, which has pledged its support to our cause through their campaign.
