At the heart of the association's mission is the Houston Buddy Walk®. This annual event serves as a beacon of unity, bringing together individuals of all abilities to show their support for individuals with Down syndrome. It is a celebration of diversity, camaraderie, and acceptance. By participating in the walk, attendees not only raise much-needed funds, but they also foster a sense of belonging and support for the Down syndrome community. The Down Syndrome Association of Houston goes beyond the Buddy Walk®. The association offers a range of programs and services designed to meet the unique needs of individuals with Down syndrome and their families.
