Project Exploration: Empowering Youth in STEM Welcome to the presentation on Project Exploration, an organization committed to creating transformative learning experiences and pathways for underrepresented youth in STEM fields. Our mission is to provide opportunities for low-income students and communities to engage in hands-on, innovative learning, ultimately fostering a more diverse and inclusive STEM landscape. Our Programs: At Project Exploration, we believe that learning should extend beyond the classroom. Through our school-based programs, we aim to empower students by exposing them to real-life experiences and connections with STEM professionals. These programs act as catalysts for curiosity, inspiring students to explore their interests and pursue careers in STEM. Chicago STEM Pathways Cooperative: As leaders in the Chicago STEM Pathways Cooperative, we actively engage with schools, students, and families to create a supportive and collaborative community. By forming meaningful partnerships with local organizations and institutions, we work together to bridge the opportunity gap in STEM education and provide the necessary resources for success. Meet the Team: Heading Project Exploration is Natasha Smith-Walker, the Executive Director dedicated to championing equity and opportunity for all. With her leadership, she ensures that every student has access to the transformative power of STEM education. Our dedicated team consists of passionate individuals who share our vision of fostering diverse talent in STEM fields. Jaclyn Carmichael, Perriyana Clay, Hannah Dembosky, Cachetta Potts, and Janiecia Williams are instrumental in shaping and implementing the programs that empower young minds and nurture their potential.
