Outstanding Young Alumni Award Honoree: Kelley Brooks Simoneaux We are thrilled to recognize our esteemed alum, Kelley Brooks Simoneaux, as a recipient of the 2019 Outstanding Young Alumni Award. Kelley's journey to success began at Birmingham-Southern College, where she honed her skills and passions. However, her path to success was not without challenges. At the young age of 16, Kelley was involved in an unfortunate accident caused by a negligent driver and faulty equipment. Despite this setback, she demonstrated resilience and determination, ultimately emerging victorious. Today, Kelley is a shining example of triumph over adversity and an inspiration to all. Alumni Engagement At Birmingham-Southern College, our commitment to our alumni extends far beyond graduation. As an alum, you automatically become a member of the Birmingham-Southern Alumni Association, a thriving community that keeps you connected to your fellow classmates and the college itself. Our goal is to foster lifelong relationships, support personal and professional growth, and provide avenues for alumni to give back to the college. Alumni Leading Downtown Development Christian Pereyda, a proud Birmingham-Southern College alumnus, is making waves within the downtown development sphere. Currently pursuing his law degree at the University of Alabama School of Law, Christian is set to graduate this May. With his passion for urban revitalization and community building, Christian has embarked on a mission to transform downtown areas and create vibrant, inclusive spaces for all. His dedication and innovative thinking have garnered attention and accolades, making him a true trailblazer in his field. We are proud to call Christian one of our own and celebrate his incredible accomplishments.
