Detroit Windsor Dance Academy (DWDA) is an esteemed institution that offers comprehensive training in various dance disciplines for both youth and adults. With a strong focus on dance and dance ministry, DWDA is dedicated to nurturing talent and passion for the art form. At DWDA, we believe in giving everyone an opportunity to explore their dancing potential. That's why we offer a special promotion to new students - try two classes for free! This allows individuals to experience our world-class training and diverse range of classes before committing to a program. One of the highlights at DWDA is our dynamic classes that combine movements and rhythms from Jazz, Break Dance, Pop Lock, and Street dance. Our Jazz/Funk class, in particular, brings together the rich traditions of classical jazz styles and the vibrant energy of African-American dance. Students can expect a fusion of styles that not only challenges them physically but also allows them to express their creativity through movement. With a history spanning over 40 years, DWDA has produced outstanding dancers who have gone on to achieve great success, including performing on Broadway in New York City. We are proud of our alumni, such as Tiffany Francés, whose journey from DWDA to the grand stages of Broadway is a testament to our commitment to excellence and nurturing talent. Our motto, inspired by Jeremiah 29:11, reflects our belief in the destined path of each individual. For those interested in taking their dance education to the next level, DWDA offers private lessons at competitive rates. Our experienced instructors provide one-on-one guidance tailored to the specific needs of each student. Additionally, we offer drop-in classes for individuals who want to participate on a more flexible basis. However, prior approval is required to ensure a seamless class experience. In addition to our regular classes, DWDA also organizes exciting summer camps that provide an immersive dance experience for students of all ages. These camps offer a unique opportunity to strengthen technique, learn new styles, and connect with fellow dancers in a fun and supportive environment.
