Texas Youth Hunting Program Welcome to the Texas Youth Hunting Program (TYHP), where we aim to educate and inspire the next generation of ethical and responsible hunters. Our program offers a unique opportunity for youth hunters to learn and apply advanced hunting skills while fostering a deep appreciation for wildlife conservation and wildlife management. Through our program, youth hunters aged 9 to 17 can participate in both firearm and archery hunts. Our dedicated team of over 1400 volunteer Huntmasters, spread across 8 areas, ensures that each participant receives expert guidance and support throughout their hunting experience. At TYHP, we understand the importance of providing a safe and inclusive environment for young hunters. That's why we offer introductory and instructive youth hunts for a variety of species. Whether it's deer, turkey, or small game, our program covers it all. Not only do we provide exceptional mentorship, but we also take care of all the logistical details. From lodging to meals, we ensure that our youth hunters have a comfortable and enjoyable experience in the great outdoors. We are proud to collaborate with various organizations and wildlife refuges to offer unique hunting opportunities. For instance, we are currently inviting youth hunters from Aransas, Refugio, Calhoun, Goliad, or San Patricio Counties to apply for the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge youth hunt.
