CASA of the South Plains, A Community Partner Since 1997 Celebrating CASA of the South Plains. Empowering advocates to be a voice of hope. CASA of the South Plains has been proudly serving the community as a trusted organization since *information hidden*With a strong commitment to empowering community members to serve as Volunteer Advocates, CASA has been instrumental in advocating for the best interests of children in the foster care system. At CASA of the South Plains, we believe in the power of individuals to make a difference. That's why we offer comprehensive training programs for new volunteers. Our training program consists of a total of 42 hours, with the majority of the training conducted in the classroom setting. Additionally, there are approximately 17 hours of self-study, as well as 1 hour of court observation prior to starting the volunteer work. We ensure that our volunteers are well-prepared to take on this important role. The dedicated staff at CASA of the South Plains are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of children in need. Our team includes Jade Dominguez, Senior Director of Advocacy, Patti Castro, Director of Advocacy, Johanna Belford, Collaborative Family Engagement Manager, Stephanie Anderson, and many other talented individuals who work tirelessly to ensure that every child's voice is heard. As a community partner, CASA of the South Plains collaborates with various organizations and professionals, including the South Plains Association of Psychologists (SPAP). SPAP is a local society of psychologists serving Lubbock, TX, and surrounding communities. Together, we strive to provide comprehensive support and resources to improve the mental health and well-being of children in foster care. CASA of the South Plains is proud to be a part of the community, and we are dedicated to creating a brighter future for every child we serve.
