Engineers Without Borders - Boston University Boston University is proud to host the collegiate chapter of Engineers Without Borders (EWB) on its campus. Founded 17 years ago, Engineers Without Borders - Boston University has been dedicated to making a positive impact on global communities through engineering and community development. As a student-run organization, EWB BU offers its members the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both engineering and non-engineering matters. From fundraising to project implementation, every aspect of the organization is managed by the students themselves, providing valuable leadership and teamwork skills. Through their projects, EWB BU members work closely with local communities to identify their needs and collaborate on innovative solutions. These projects range from infrastructure development, such as water and sanitation systems, to renewable energy initiatives and sustainable agricultural practices.
