State Support Team Region 7 - SST7 Welcome to the State Support Team Region 7 (SST7) presentation! SST7 is a dedicated team based in Mansfield, Ohio, that is committed to providing leadership, collaboration, and support to districts, staff, families, and communities. Our mission is to work hand-in-hand with our educational partners to promote the success of all students. We believe that by fostering collaboration and leveraging resources, we can create an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every student can thrive. One of our key focus areas is in the field of Guidance & Counseling. We recognize the vital role that school counselors play in supporting the academic, social-emotional, and career development needs of students. They work closely with school faculty, staff, students, parents, and the community to design and implement comprehensive guidance and counseling programs. By partnering with districts and school counselors, SST7 provides professional development opportunities, resources, and ongoing support to ensure that guidance and counseling programs are effectively meeting the diverse needs of students. We believe that by equipping school counselors with the necessary tools and knowledge, they can make a meaningful difference in the lives of students. SST7 also values the importance of family and community partnerships in education. We have dedicated Family & Community Partnerships Liaisons who serve as points of contact for parents, families, and community members. They work collaboratively to foster positive relationships, engage families in the educational process, and provide the necessary support to ensure the success of all students. In addition, SST7 offers a Parent Mentor program, which provides support and guidance to parents of children with disabilities. These mentors share their personal experiences and knowledge to help parents navigate the special education system, connect with resources, and advocate for their child's needs. At SST7, we pride ourselves on being a dynamic and action-oriented team. We continuously strive to stay at the forefront of educational best practices and research, so we can provide the most effective support to our educational partners.
